Social Media and Community Manager

As our Social Media and Community manager, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing our strategy across our social channels. We’re looking for a content-savvy digital marketer, someone who not only creates amazing content and builds strong online communities but also understands how social media fits into a multi-channel marketing strategy and a multi-step marketing funnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive our social media strategy, helping develop voice and tone, channel guidelines, goals, and targets
  • Plan and execute the social media content calendar
  • Manage day-to-day on social media platforms
  • Execute content in partnership with internal and external creative resources
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (editorial, public relations, wholesale, communications/advertising, legal, people) to identify opportunities to support storytelling efforts across the business
  • Benchmark and monitor competitor and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices, leapfrog initiatives, and improve the overall social-media strategy
  • Act as our resident expert on all things social, including testing emerging platforms, and keeping on top of what our competitors are doing
  • In partnership with Content team, drive strategy, concepting, and execution for live video programs, including Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Harness social listening and other tools (Google Analytics, Sprinklr and Crimson Hexagon) to gain insights into post performance, audience interests, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and tactics for growth
  • Establish and foster relationships with online influencers. Create influencer marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, channel growth and engagement
  • Identify and create community programs aimed at growing engagement both  on social platforms as well as in Splice Community itself.
  • Analyze data and compile weekly/monthly reports that include metrics on engagement, community growth, referral traffic and conversions, customer acquisition, etc.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years of social media/digital community management
  • Knowledge of music production and the modern music landscape
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Customer-service mindset
  • Deep understanding of the most important social media metrics and knowledge of tools for measuring and reporting on them
  • Strong art direction instincts -- great ideas for bringing creative concepts  to life through words and visuals together
  • Experience developing social media influencer strategy a major plus
  • Experience building online communities a major plus
